Course Shaping
Tom Fazio’s vision is coming to life with a distinctive course experience focused on the details. One of Fazio's best course shapers is actively working with the natural landscape and dramatic elevation changes to bring Fazio’s vision for each hole to life. The goal is to maintain the dramatic land features as the course moves up and down the edges of the arroyo.
Grass Selection
Precision is in the details. The team has selected and begun sprigging two Bermuda grasses for the course. Much like on our original course, Campo Bajo, TifTuf will challenge players in the fairways and the rough, and a newer Bermuda grass, TifEagle, will reward players with fast and consistent rolls on the greens. Bermuda grasses are planted through a special process called ”sprigging.” Unlike seeding, sprigging involves unique machinery to knife mature Bermuda grass cuttings into the soil to take root.
