It’s a pleasure to share with you that Becky and Jeff’s destination wedding at Querencia Los Cabos was published in Modern Luxury Weddings Houston.
Going the Distance
With a long family history in San José del Cabo, this Houston bride tied the knot during a three day wedding weekend in Mexico.
For Becky, it was important that their wedding feel like a vacation. And for Jeff, what mattered was that Becky’s vision come to life. Working with renowned Julian Leaver from The Dapper Diplomat, the couple set out to create a relaxing retreat at the Querencia residential community in San José del Cabo, where Becky’s parents have owned a home for 20 years. “They both had a very clear vision of what they wanted their wedding not to look like but to feel like,” says Leaver. “They wanted each guest to feel like a member of their family.” So there were plenty of activities planned for their lavish list of 200 over the course of the three-day weekend, such as a welcome reception at Becky’s parents’ home, a bridesmaids brunch and a groomsmen golf tournament.
On the day of the wedding, white and green hydrangeas, white roses and white parrot tulips adorned the rustic tablescape at the reception, and candles and blue goblets added a pop of color while Mexican piñatas swung in the breeze. After generous servings of Champagne-flavored cake with raspberry filling were served and feet were exhausted from dancing, the couple jetted off on a honeymoon to the Maldives with a stop in Abu Dhabi and Dubai, United Arab Emirates.”
